ESG Survey by MAPAN: Extension on release of Report

Report now re-scheduled to January 2023

MAPAN was supposed to release the Report on 15 December 2022.

In order to further refine the diverse finding and its content, a decision has been taken to only issue it in January 2023 as already advised to all respondents yesterday (15/12/22) through our whatsapp group chat, Facebook and LinkeIn accounts.

For the digital painting that was promised as a token of appreciation, it may be emailed to every respondent prior to January 2023.

The chief findings were (1) Though new, most agree that ESG is an important daily lifestyle matter, (2) MSME will need more help from larger corporation and government in terms of training, grace for transition and financial aid, (3) There were too many standards and frameworks which make ESG adoption slow, tedious and costly, (4) Standardized guidelines by government as to ESG compliance are crucial to easy embrace by MSME, (5) Respondents were appreciative of the effort of MAPAN to create public ESG awareness.

HRDF - approved ESG courses

MAPAN has just received its approval to conduct 2 ESG courses, namely "Understanding of ESG-related regulations in Malaysia" and "Application of ESG practices in the transportation industry".
